Patrice wins ‘Best PhD Astronomy Presentation’ at the SKA Conference

The SKA conference is held annually.

Patrice Okouma won the prize for the best presentation in the PhD Astronomy category at the annual SKA Project Postgraduate Bursary Conference held recently at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Studies. The conference hosted all beneficiaries of an SKA bursary (Masters, PhD and Post-Doc) as well as other researchers and students in Astronomy and Engineering from all major South African institutes and universities. In addition, a number of distinguished foreign speakers took part.

The overwhelming feedback from the visitors was that this conference has grown from a meeting of a community of students and researchers to a full-blown scientific conference. With the particularly high standard this sets, we are very proud of Patrice who entertained and enthused the audience with his past and ongoing research on BAO and the CMB.
